Caribbean Destinations & Hotels Update

We want to give you a brief update on the status of several Caribbean islands that were affected by the hurricanes last year. Puerto Rico

  • Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport (SJU) is open and fully functional.
  • Doubletree By Hilton Hotel San Juan, Hyatt Place Manati, Hampton Inn & Suites San Juan, Courtyard San Juan Miramar, Hyatt Place San Juan/City Center, Olive Boutique Hotel A Small Luxury Hotel of the World, Four Points by Sheraton Caguas Real Hotel & Casino, CIQALA Luxury Suites, Hyatt House San Juan, La Concha, Intercontinental, Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel & Casino, Embassy Suites by Hilton Dorado Del Mar Beach Resort, Sheraton Puerto Rico, Sheraton Old San Juan, San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, San Juan Water Beach Club, Wyndham Grand Rio Mar, and ESJ Azul are open for business.
  • Verdanza is anticipated to reopen on August 1, 2018.
  • The Ritz-Carlton, Reserve Dorado Beach is anticipated to reopen October 1, 2018.
  • St. Regis Bahia Beach is now anticipated to reopen October 29, 2018.
  • El San Juan Resort is anticipated to reopen on November 1, 2018.
  • Melia Coco Beach is now anticipated to reopen on December 15, 2018.
  • Condado Plaza is now anticipated to reopen on December 16, 2018.
  • Caribe Hilton (Including Lagoon Villas) and W Retreat & Spa Vieques are anticipated to reopen on January 1, 2019.
  • El Conquistador Resort and La Casitas Village are anticipated to reopen January 6, 2019.
  • The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan reopening has been delayed, now anticipated on July 1, 2019.

St. Martin

  • Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) is open, though still in the process of being rebuilt.
  • Our Destination Management Company (DMC), Island Reps, is currently greeting arrivals.
  • Divi Little Bay St. Martin is now anticipated to reopen on September 1, 2018.
  • Grand Case Beach Club is anticipated to reopen on October 1, 2018.
  • Hotel La Plantation, Esmeralda Resort, and Riu Palace St. Martin are anticipated to reopen on November 1, 2018.
  • Sonesta Ocean Point is anticipated to reopen on November 16, 2018.
  • Alamanda Resort and Westin St. Martin are anticipated to reopen on January 1, 2019.
  • Sonesta Maho is anticipated to reopen on February 1, 2019.
  • Great Bay Beach Resort remains closed with no firm reopen date.

The US Virgin Islands St. Thomas

  • Cyril E. King Airport (STT) is open and fully operational, though still in the process of being repaired.
  • Our Destination Management Company (DMC) will resume services on June 1, 2018.
  • Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is expected to reopen on June 1, 2018.
  • Windward Passage is anticipated to reopen on December 1, 2018.
  • Marriott Frenchman’s Reef and Sugar Bay Resort are anticipated to reopen on January 1, 2019.
  • The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is now anticipated to reopen in late 2019.
  • Secret Harbour is currently closed with no firm reopen date.

St. John

  • Caneel Bay – St. John and Westin St. John are anticipated to reopen on January 1, 2019.

St. Croix

  • Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) is open and fully operational.
  • Hotel on the Cay, The Buccaneer – St. Croix, and Sand Castle on the Beach are open for business.
  • Divi Carina Bay – St. Croix is anticipated to reopen on December 1, 2018.
  • Renaissance Carambola Beach Resort is anticipated to reopen on January 1, 2019.

Please note: All hotels are open for business and all off-site venues are operating normally for the following destinations: Antigua, Aruba, Bonaire, Bermuda, Barbados, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Grand Cayman, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, The Bahamas and Turks & Caicos.
