There’s finally a reason to revisit Lumpini Square following the eviction of Suan Lum market way back in 2011. Opened in the first week of April, Chang Global Carnival is the city’s latest theme park. Drop from heights of 40 meters on the Booster, fly around hanging from a rollercoaster track on the Euro Star, and experience dizzying G forces in all manner of other spinning and swinging rides from the 20-something attractions. There’s plenty of games, food and drink around, too. Entrance costs just B90, but you do then have to pay to go on each ride—or stump up B4,000 on Thaiticketmajor.com to get a three-month unlimited pass.
